Issue symptoms
When attempting to authenticate xxx inside Salesforce, you get a null error after entering xxx subdomain, agent email, and API token for password.
Conditions
- Must have SSL enabled to integrate xxx with Salesforce to comply with the Salesforce security policy. SSL is enabled by default in xxx, but additional steps are required if you are using host-mapping.
- This only applies to xxx For Salesforce app version 4.8.2 and older
Cause & Resolution
If you're using host-mapping:
Upload an SSL certificate to xxx. For more information, see Setting up hosted SSL
Use the host-mapped subdomain URL when authenticating in Salesforce AND when adding xxx as a remote site.
If you're not using host-mapping:
If not using host-mapping, enable SSL (Admin icon (
) > Settings > Security) and disable host-mapping (Admin icon (
) > Settings > Account).
